How much your baby eats is less important than getting him and her to like eating. Remember that your baby has only been drinking up to now!
Your child gets most of their energy and nutrients from breast milk or infant formula. Introduce your child with a variety of foods, as a complimentary nutrition to their breast milk or infant formula consumption once your child turns 6 months.
Gradually increase the amount and expand the variety of solid food until your child eats his/her baby portions of the same foods as your family does.
